How it works
One photo in, one portrait out
1. Upload one photo. A snapshot from a beach, a birthday or a wedding is ideal. It needs every face visible and two to six people; it does not need a good background, matching clothes or anyone standing in the right place.
2. See the portrait. In about 3 minutes the photo is restaged as a black and white studio portrait: a plain black backdrop, studio light, and the family stacked from tallest at the back to youngest at the front. Each face is checked against your original, and a weak likeness is regenerated before you see it. You get the finished portrait, watermarked, before you decide.
3. Keep it if you love it. $12.99, once, removes the watermark from that same image and delivers it at full resolution, ready to download. Nothing is generated after you pay, so there is no waiting.

Honest about who this is for
It suits you if you have a good photo of everyone together and want a portrait without booking a photoshoot; your family is spread across cities and will not be in one room soon; you want a present for parents or grandparents; or you simply like black and white portraits better than colored ones.
It is not for you if you want the portrait in color (the one exception is the Christmas portrait, where the Santa hats are red); there are more than six people, or a face is turned away, hidden or in sunglasses; you want pets in it; you want anyone made slimmer, smoother or younger — faces are kept as they are; or you want a photographer directing a shoot on the day. It is one 9:16 portrait, made by AI, and labeled as such.

Is this an AI family portrait?
Yes. The portrait is made by AI from the photo you upload: the background, light and arrangement are rebuilt as a studio portrait, and the people are kept as they are. Every portrait is labeled as AI-generated and carries C2PA Content Credentials.
Will it still look like us?
That is what the process is built around. Before generating, it writes down each person's face in words; afterward it scores the portrait against your original photo and regenerates automatically when the likeness scores below 75 out of 100. A low-resolution or badly lit photo will still give a weaker likeness, which is why you see the result before paying.
What kind of photo works?
An ordinary one where every face is visible and turned roughly toward the camera, in reasonable light, with two to six people. The background, clothes and how everyone is standing do not matter, because all of that is replaced. Sunglasses, faces turned away and strong backlight do not work.
What do I get, and how much is it?
One full-resolution black and white portrait in a 9:16 vertical format, for $12.99, once. No subscription. You see the finished portrait watermarked before you pay, and paying unlocks that same image. It stays downloadable for 30 days.
Can I include my dog or cat?
Not yet. Graydrop works with people only, and pets in your photo will not appear in the portrait.
